Board quality: The surface of the floor should be carefully checked for spots, dirt, missing paper, broken paper, and other surface issues. Any obvious abnormalities should be removed or, depending on the situation, the usable parts should be reasonably utilized.
Items to check before installing laminate flooring:
1) Board surface quality: Carefully check the floor surface for spots, dirt, missing paper, broken paper, and other surface issues. Any obvious abnormalities should be removed or the usable parts should be reasonably utilized based on the situation.
2) Calculate the area of the room where the flooring will be laid, and place the required flooring evenly on the ground to check for any obvious color differences in the batch. This check should be done in ample light, preferably during the day. If there are any abnormalities, adjust the flooring to ensure there are no obvious color differences in the same room.
Common methods for installing laminate flooring:
1. Type of adhesive: Moisture-resistant PVAC D3 adhesive.
2. Adhesive application method:
1) Adhesive application area: The upper edge of the groove.
2) Apply enough adhesive to protect the joints around the flooring.
3) Wipe off excess adhesive from the board surface with a damp cloth.
3. Direction of flooring installation and lighting:
1) The direction of the flooring installation should align with the direction of light entering the room for better visual effect.
2) Ensure that the flooring is always arranged longitudinally in narrow hallways.
4. Installation method:
1) When starting to install the first board along the wall, one side of the groove should face the wall, and there should be a gap of at least 10-15mm between the flooring and the wall using wedges.Use the last piece of the first row as the first piece of the second row (but the length should be greater than 20mm) to reduce waste.
2) Use a tapping block and hammer to tap the flooring together to avoid gaps. Do not apply adhesive to the first three rows yet, and adjust the wedges to ensure these three rows are straight.
3) Apply adhesive to the first three rows, tighten them, and let the adhesive dry for more than one hour. (Note: Ensure the first three rows are installed straight, which guarantees that the entire room's flooring is laid flat without large gaps.)拼缝过大等问题的保证。)
4) To ensure the seams are fully bonded, use your finger to wipe away any adhesive that has oozed out of the flooring gaps for inspection; otherwise, use a tightening tool to secure them.
5) A sufficient expansion gap (10-15mm) must be left between all flooring and walls. Mark the required dimensions on the last board of each row with a pencil, cut the flooring according to the dimensions, and apply adhesive.胶。
6) Use a tapping block to tap the flooring, securing it in place, and apply adhesive row by row in this manner.
7) After 60-90 minutes, use a metal scraper to remove all excess adhesive that has oozed out (it should be transparent). Wipe the surface of the flooring with a clean, wrung-out damp cloth to remove any uncured residue.胶。
8) Remove the temporary wedges, ensuring that there is an expansion gap. Install the baseboards. The area beneath the baseboards should fit tightly against the surface of the flooring. The baseboards should be installed on the wall, not on the flooring.地板上。
5. Treatment of doors and door frames:
1) Ensure that the door can still open and close freely after the flooring is installed. Place a piece of flooring on a PE mat; if this prevents the door from opening and closing freely, remove the door from its hinges and trim some material from the bottom.地段刨除一些。
2) There should be a certain gap between the flooring and the wall at the door frame. When installing at the door frame, if the frame is too high, saw off about 10mm from the bottom of the frame to allow the flooring to fit underneath.门套下面。
3) Do not forget to leave an expansion gap.
6. Precautions:
1) Use a floating installation method; the flooring should not be fixed to the ground with glue, screws, or nails.
2) The ends of parallel flooring boards should be staggered by at least 200mm.
3) Use pressure strips to maintain expansion gaps at doorways, and also use pressure strips to leave expansion gaps when installing flooring in adjacent rooms.
4) Leave an expansion gap of 8-15mm between the flooring and fixed objects. If the length of the flooring installation exceeds 8mm, a transition strip must be used to separate them.
5) To ensure the effectiveness of the flooring, the length of the locked edge flooring must be ≥20cm, and the width of the flooring against the wall must be ≥1/3 of the normal width of the flooring.
6) Allow the adhesive to dry for 24 hours after installation before placing anything on it.
Methods for using laminate flooring:
1. Baseboards should be installed on the wall, not on the flooring.
2. Usage, cleaning, and maintenance guidelines:
1) No waxing is required;
2) If water spills on the floor, wipe it up immediately;
3) Daily cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner, dry broom, and wrung-out mop for cleaning. If there are stains, remove them immediately with water (add an appropriate amount of vinegar, ratio 1:10). Do not use sandpaper, abrasives, or steel wool.
纸、磨研剂、钢丝球。
4) For stubborn stains, first use a dedicated floor cleaner, then wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use sandpaper, abrasives, or steel wool.
5) Steam cleaners are not suitable for cleaning flooring.
6) Place a mat at the entrance to prevent the flooring from being worn by sand and other materials.
7) It is best to wrap the legs of chairs with towels or similar materials when moving furniture, and do not drag heavy objects across the flooring.
8) For office environment chairs, it is recommended to use softer chair wheels ("W" type).
3. Use of flooring and environment: Surface temperature ≥ 15°C: Air temperature is 18-24°C, relative humidity is 45-65%. In hot seasons, this relative humidity can drop significantly, and dryness can cause the seams between the flooring to widen, but they will shrink again after summer.
